WHO IS THE K9 CORSO CLUB?

The K9 Corso Club was founded by Raquel, a Bay Area native with a lifelong passion for animals and over eight years of hands-on experience working with shelter dogs of all breeds and backgrounds. From an early age, she was known for helping neighbors with their dogs and naturally gravitated toward working with animals in need, volunteering in shelters and even approaching strays while traveling abroad.

Raquel’s journey into professional dog training deepened through personal experience. In 2021, she adopted a Chihuahua mix with serious behavioral issues, which she successfully managed over time. But it was her Cane Corso, Bronxx—an incredibly strong, intelligent, and behaviorally complex dog—who truly challenged her and inspired her to take her training skills to the next level. His journey became the turning point in her commitment to understanding canine behavior on a deeper level. Although Bronxx passed in 2024, his impact remains central to her mission.

Today, Raquel lives in the Berkeley Hills with her Cane Corso, Delta; her Chihuahua mix, Minnie; and her cat, Nala. She continues to volunteer at local shelters and is passionate about helping people experience the same sense of purpose, connection, and growth that dogs have brought to her life.

Raquel believes training is not just about obedience—it’s about trust, communication, and building a lasting bond. Through customized training and care, she helps owners better understand their dogs and create more fulfilling relationships.
